Terms of Service for Query Streams
Last Updated: September 11, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Query Streams services, including our add-ons for Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, our website at https://querystreams.com, our hosted API platform, our Model Context Protocol (MCP) services, and any other services offered by Query Streams (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.
1. Service Description
Query Streams provides data integration, data-sharing, and automation services that allow users to send queries to databases and retrieve data through a variety of channels. Our Service includes, without limitation:
- Add-ons for Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
- Agent software for Windows, macOS, and Linux ("Network Agent") for installation on your network or systems, including its database, file, and API connectors
- Middleware server, relay, and real-time communication services that facilitate data transfers between the Network Agent, our servers, and your chosen destinations
- A web-based query builder, semantic intelligence, saved queries, result sharing with authorized recipients, and cross-source (federated) query capabilities
- A hosted REST API platform that lets you publish, manage, and share programmatic API endpoints, API keys, and recipient access to your queries (the "API Services")
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) services that allow AI tools, assistants, and agents to access your data through issued MCP keys or OAuth authorization (the "MCP Services")
- AI-assisted features, including our "Nova" assistant, natural-language-to-SQL, AI-generated insights, and related capabilities (the "AI Features")
- Alerting, monitoring, scheduled and automated reporting, notification, automation, scheduling, and third-party integration features that evaluate, move, or synchronize data between your data sources and connected destinations (the "Automation and Integration Services")
- Web portal, dashboards, administrative tooling, documentation, and developer tooling for managing the foregoing
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, channel, or component of the Service at any time. New features (including new API, MCP, automation, or integration capabilities) may be offered under separate or additional terms, usage allowances, or fees as described in Sections 2 and 3.
2. Account Registration and Subscription
To use our Service, you must create an account and subscribe to one of our service tiers (including any free tier). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, passwords, API keys, MCP keys, and other credentials. Query Streams cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
Our Service is offered through subscription plans and other commercial arrangements with different feature sets, usage allowances, and limits. You agree to pay the fees applicable to your selected plan and to any usage that exceeds your plan's included allowances. Free, trial, and promotional access may be modified, limited, or withdrawn at any time.
3. Pricing, Fees, and Billing Changes
You acknowledge and agree that pricing for the Service is dynamic and that Query Streams reserves broad discretion to set and adjust how the Service is priced and billed. Specifically, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion and from time to time, to:
- Establish, increase, decrease, or otherwise change subscription fees, usage allowances, tier limits, overage rates, and any other fees or charges for the Service;
- Introduce, modify, or remove pricing models and billing methods, including flat-rate subscriptions, usage-based, metered, consumption-based, per-call, per-row, per-byte, per-key, per-endpoint, per-seat, per-agent, per-integration, and per-automation charges, and any combination thereof;
- Change how, where, and on what basis usage is measured and metered (for example, by data volume, compressed or uncompressed bytes, number of calls, rows returned, request rate, concurrent connections or streams, or number of endpoints, keys, recipients, agents, automations, or integrations);
- Adjust pricing, plans, tiers, allowances, and limits based on observed usage patterns, customer usage data, cost to serve, capacity, demand, abuse prevention, and other business considerations;
- Introduce new charges for, or change how we charge for, specific capabilities, including the API Services, MCP Services, Automation and Integration Services, AI-assisted features, and any premium, add-on, or future features; and
- Reclassify any feature that is currently included in a plan as a separately metered, allowance-limited, or paid feature, and vice versa.
We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that increase the recurring fees applicable to your current plan, such as by posting updated pricing on our website, emailing the address associated with your account, or notifying you through the Service. Unless otherwise stated, fee and pricing-model changes take effect prospectively, either at the start of your next billing cycle or as otherwise communicated. Changes to overage rates, usage-based charges, metered rates, and limits may take effect upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the change. If you do not agree to a change, your sole remedy is to stop using the affected feature and, where applicable, cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, and usage allowances do not carry over between billing periods unless expressly stated. Any taxes, levies, or third-party charges associated with your use of the Service are your responsibility.
4. Data Usage, Measurement, and Limitations
Each plan includes specific usage allowances and limits. Your usage may be measured across every channel through which you access the Service, including the Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel add-ons, the web portal, the API Services, the MCP Services, and the Automation and Integration Services. Usage may be measured by, among other things, the volume of data transferred through our middleware and real-time servers, the number of API or MCP calls, the number of rows returned, request rate, concurrent connections or streams, and the number of endpoints, keys, recipients, agents, automations, or integrations.
You acknowledge that different channels may be measured and billed differently. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to surface your usage in the Service, but you are responsible for monitoring your own usage.
If you reach or exceed your plan's allowances or limits, or otherwise place excessive load on the Service, we may, at our discretion and without liability:
- Apply additional or overage charges at our then-current rates;
- Apply rate limits, row limits, concurrency limits, or truncation to results;
- Temporarily reduce service speeds, throttle, or restrict functionality;
- Pause or suspend affected features until the start of the next billing cycle or until additional capacity is purchased; and
- Require you to upgrade your plan to continue at your desired level of usage.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you as you approach your usage limits, but we are not obligated to do so, and limits or protective measures may be enforced automatically.
5. API and MCP Services
If you use the API Services or MCP Services, you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your API keys, MCP keys, endpoints, and shared access, whether or not authorized by you. You agree to:
- Keep all keys, secrets, and tokens confidential and secure, and rotate or revoke them promptly if they are exposed or compromised;
- Respect applicable rate limits, row limits, concurrency limits, and usage allowances, and not attempt to circumvent, evade, or artificially fragment usage to avoid metering, limits, or charges;
- Ensure that any recipient, application, AI tool, or third party to whom you grant access through the Service is authorized and complies with these Terms;
- Not use the API Services or MCP Services to expose data you do not have the right to share, or to provide access to others in violation of any law, agreement, or third-party right; and
- Remain fully responsible for the queries, endpoints, automations, and integrations you create and the data they return, including when accessed by recipients, applications, or AI agents.
Some AI tools and assistants connect to the MCP Services using a one-click OAuth authorization instead of a manually issued key. When you authorize such a client, you are presented with a consent screen identifying the organization and permissions being granted; by approving it, you authorize that client to access your data within the granted scope, and you remain responsible for that access as if it were made under your own credentials. You may revoke any key or authorized client at any time through the Service, which will invalidate its access. You further acknowledge and agree that when you use an AI tool, assistant, or agent with the Service, the query results you request are transmitted to the applicable AI provider (for example, Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT) and are thereafter subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices, over which Query Streams has no control. You are responsible for deciding what data to make available to any such provider.
Usage of the API Services and MCP Services counts toward your usage allowances and may be separately metered, limited, or charged as described in Sections 3 and 4. We may modify, deprecate, version, rate-limit, or discontinue any API, MCP, automation, or integration capability, and we may grant, adjust, or revoke per-account limits and overrides at our discretion.
6. Software License and Restrictions on Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Query Streams grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service, including any Network Agent software, spreadsheet add-ons, client libraries, connectors, and documentation that we make available (collectively, the "Software"), solely for your internal business purposes and solely in connection with our Service.
Our Service may require the installation of our Network Agent software (for Windows, macOS, or Linux) on your network or systems. If you install this software, you additionally agree to maintain appropriate security measures to protect the software and your network, and to permit the software to receive automatic updates as needed to operate the Service.
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, or to the extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law that cannot be waived by contract, you agree that you will not, and will not permit, encourage, or assist any third party to:
- Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Service or the Software;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive, discover, or reconstruct the source code, object code, underlying ideas, algorithms, data models, schemas, file formats, or structure of the Service or the Software;
- Intercept, monitor, capture, record, analyze, or extract the communication protocols, message formats, wire formats, APIs, authentication or authorization flows, or network traffic used by or between any component of the Service (including between the Network Agent on any operating system, our middleware, relay, and real-time communication servers, the spreadsheet add-ons, the web portal, the API Services, the MCP Services, the AI Features, and the Automation and Integration Services) for any purpose other than your ordinary, authorized use of the Service;
- Distribute, sell, resell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the Service or the Software to any third party, or make the Service available on a service-bureau, time-sharing, white-label, or similar basis;
- Access or use the Service, the Software, or any information, output, documentation, schema, prompt, or performance data obtained from or through the Service, in order to build, develop, train, improve, or assist in building a product or service that competes with or is substantially similar to the Service, or to design around any of our intellectual property;
- Conduct, publish, or disclose any benchmarking, performance testing, or competitive analysis of the Service for the purpose of developing, marketing, positioning, or improving a competing or substantially similar product or service;
- Use any automated means (including scrapers, crawlers, bots, or scripts) to systematically extract the Service's functionality, documentation, schemas, prompts, or configuration, other than through interfaces we expressly provide for that purpose and within your authorized usage allowances;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Service or the Software; or
- Attempt to bypass, disable, defeat, or circumvent any licensing, security, usage-metering, rate-limiting, or access-control mechanism of the Service.
Competitor access. The Service is made available for use by customers, not for evaluation by competitors. If you are, or are acting on behalf of, a person or entity that develops, markets, or provides a product or service that competes with or is substantially similar to the Service (a "Competitor"), you may not access or use the Service, or create or maintain an account, without our prior written consent. You represent that you are not a Competitor and agree to notify us promptly if you become one. We may suspend or terminate the access of any account that we reasonably believe is held or used by or on behalf of a Competitor, and we may decline to provide the Service to any Competitor at our sole discretion.
These restrictions apply to the Service as a whole and to each of its components, regardless of the channel through which you access it, and apply to you and to any person or entity acting on your behalf or with your credentials. Any breach of this Section 6 is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access, without prejudice to any other remedy available to us. You acknowledge that a breach of this Section may cause Query Streams irreparable harm for which monetary damages would be an inadequate remedy, and that Query Streams shall be entitled to seek injunctive or other equitable relief, in addition to any other remedies available at law or in equity, without the requirement of posting a bond.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of our Service and Software complies with your internal policies and any applicable laws and regulations.
7. Data Profiles and Realms
Our Service allows you to create "Data Profiles" that connect to your database systems and organize them into "Data Realms." You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring you have proper rights and permissions to access any databases you connect to our Service
- Managing user access to Data Profiles and Realms
- The content and security of queries sent through our Service
- Compliance with any applicable laws regarding the data being processed
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Query Streams and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Query Streams. No rights are granted to you other than the limited license expressly set out in Section 6; all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You acknowledge that the non-public aspects of the Service — including its architecture, communication protocols and message formats, agent-to-server and add-on-to-server interactions, query routing and federation logic, schema-intelligence and AI-assisted techniques, prompts, data models, performance characteristics, and pricing and metering logic — constitute trade secrets and Confidential Information of Query Streams (as defined in Section 17), regardless of whether they can be observed through ordinary use of the Service.
You retain all rights to your data processed through our Service. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to transmit, process, and display your data solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
9. User Content and Conduct
You agree not to use our Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Transmit any malicious code, malware, or harmful data
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
- Conduct any database operations that could damage, disable, or impair our services
- Evaluate, study, or use the Service in order to build, develop, or improve a competing or substantially similar product or service, or otherwise in violation of the restrictions in Section 6
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
10. Shared Query Results
Our Service allows you to share query results — not your queries. When you share a saved query with a recipient, or grant access through an API endpoint, MCP client, or any other channel, you are granting that recipient the ability to run that query on demand, within the filters and parameters you have exposed, and to receive the data it returns. Recipients are not granted access to your databases, your credentials, or your data connectors, and they cannot edit the underlying query definition, change what it selects, or point it at other data.
When you share query results, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Sharing results is a disclosure of data. You are solely responsible for deciding what data a shared query returns and to whom you make it available, and for ensuring you have the right to disclose that data to each recipient in compliance with applicable law, your own policies, and any obligation you owe to a third party.
- You grant each authorized recipient the right to run the query and to select among the filter and parameter values you have exposed, for as long as the share remains active.
- Results are produced live at the time the recipient runs the query. Any change in your underlying data, and any change you make to the query, is reflected in the results the recipient receives.
- You are responsible for scoping filters and parameters so that no permitted combination of values returns data the recipient is not authorized to see.
- Access continues until you revoke it. You are responsible for reviewing recipient access and revoking it when it is no longer appropriate.
- You remain responsible for all activity and usage generated by your recipients, which counts toward your usage allowances and may be metered and billed to you as described in Sections 3 and 4.
Although the Service is designed so that recipients work with results rather than with query definitions, we do not represent or warrant that the text or structure of a query is withheld from every recipient, client application, or integration in all circumstances. You should not rely on a shared query's text remaining secret, and you should not place credentials, secrets, or sensitive content in query text, names, or descriptions.
Query Streams does not review, validate, or control what data your shared queries return. We are not responsible for the consequences of results you share, for the use, retention, redistribution, or further disclosure of those results by recipients, or for the filter and parameter values you expose or that recipients select within the scope you have granted.
11. Third-Party Services
Our Service integrates with, and can transmit data to, third-party services and applications, including Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and — when you choose to connect them — third-party AI providers and tools such as Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (ChatGPT). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Query Streams is not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Query Streams does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
13. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL QUERY STREAMS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE;
- ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE;
- ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; AND
- UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT,
WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR USING OUR SERVICES DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Query Streams, its officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of and access to the Service;
- Your violation of any term of these Terms;
- Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; or
- Any claim that content you submitted or shared through the Service caused damage to a third party.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on our website or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that the state and federal courts located in the State of Mississippi shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
17. Confidentiality, Feedback, and Usage Data
Confidential Information. "Confidential Information" means any non-public information disclosed by or on behalf of Query Streams or made available to you through the Service, including the trade secrets described in Section 8; non-public documentation, specifications, and technical information; beta, preview, early-access, or unreleased features and any information about them; product roadmaps; non-public pricing, quotes, discounts, and commercial terms; security information; and any information that is marked or would reasonably be understood to be confidential. Confidential Information does not include information that is or becomes publicly available through no fault of yours, that you already lawfully possessed without a confidentiality obligation, or that you independently developed without reference to our Confidential Information.
You agree to hold our Confidential Information in strict confidence, to use it solely as necessary to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, and not to disclose it to any third party except to your employees and contractors who need to know it and who are bound by confidentiality obligations at least as protective as these. You will protect our Confidential Information with at least the same degree of care you use for your own confidential information, and no less than reasonable care. If you are required by law or court order to disclose Confidential Information, you will give us prompt notice (where legally permitted) and reasonable cooperation so that we may seek a protective order. Your confidentiality obligations survive for as long as the information remains confidential and, for trade secrets, for as long as they remain trade secrets under applicable law.
Beta and preview features. We may offer features identified as beta, preview, early-access, experimental, or similar. Such features are Confidential Information, are provided for evaluation only, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and are provided without any warranty or support commitment. You agree not to publicly disclose the existence, functionality, or performance of any such feature without our prior written consent.
Feedback. If you provide us with suggestions, ideas, enhancement requests, recommendations, or other feedback relating to the Service ("Feedback"), you grant Query Streams a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, incorporate, and otherwise exploit the Feedback for any purpose without obligation or attribution to you. You agree that Feedback is provided voluntarily and does not constitute your Confidential Information.
Usage data. We may collect, generate, and use technical, operational, and usage data about your use of the Service (such as query volumes, latency, error rates, feature usage, connector types, and performance metrics) to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, to develop new features, for analytics and benchmarking of our own Service, and for billing. We may use and disclose such data in aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you or reveal the contents of your data. Nothing in this paragraph grants us any right to your underlying database contents beyond the limited license in Section 8.
18. General Provisions
Enforcement and remedies. Our rights and remedies under these Terms are cumulative and in addition to any other rights and remedies available at law or in equity. In any action to enforce Sections 6, 8, or 17 of these Terms, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys' fees, costs, and expenses from the non-prevailing party.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations under them, whether by operation of law, merger, change of control, or otherwise, without our prior written consent, and any attempted assignment in violation of this provision is void. Query Streams may assign these Terms without restriction, including to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets.
Export and sanctions compliance. You agree to comply with all applicable export control and economic sanctions laws and regulations, and you represent that you are not located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in a country or territory that is the subject of comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not a person or entity on any restricted-party list.
Survival. Sections 3 (as to amounts owed), 6, 8, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 18, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, will survive any termination or expiration of these Terms or of your account.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order form, enterprise agreement, or supplemental terms we make available for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Query Streams regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings. In the event of a conflict, a signed order form or enterprise agreement controls over these Terms as to its subject matter.
No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, or employment relationship between you and Query Streams.
